Most people who sign up for our Online Quit Program post a personal public pledge to quit smoking. Many of our members have said that these pledges were very important, and that it helps strengthen their commitment.

I am quitting smoking because: - my fingers are going numb - I'm coughing when I'm not sick - I can't do a flight of stairs without gasping for air - it turns my friends and family off - I don't want to be that single 30 year old woman looking for a date - I want to be healthy for the children I will have - I hate the way I smell - I hate having "guk" on my teeth when I wake up - I hate my yellow teeth - I hate wasting my money Instead, I will: - go to the gym - go back to doing yoga - take longer walks - have fresher smelling clothes/body - drink more water - eat healthier foods - keep a tidier home

I want to quit because I dont like the image that smoking has, I am embarassed that I smoke, it is expensive, unattractive and it smells bad, makes my car smell bad, my hair and my clothes. I love working out and I feel that sometimes it limits my work out. I am tired of waking up with a stuffed up nose and I want to breathe better.

Becoming healthier and in control of my decisions.To save crazy amounts of money by not smoking. Meditation, deep breathing, lots of water, fruits and veggies, patch, inhaler, gum, medications, delaying cravings, self talk, exercise, stretching, any distraction other then smoking.

Number 1 reason is to set a good example for my daughter, obviously for health reasons and finally for the financial part of it. I'm tired of being a closet smoker :)
